Senior Shipping & Receiving Clerk, Kohler Hospitality

Work Mode:Onsite

Location:Kohler, WI

Opportunity

The Senior Shipping & Receiving Clerk positionverifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparesitems for shipment by performing the following duties to quality andproductivity standards.

Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Receives incoming shipments against established purchase order, unpacks as directed, examines and routes to appropriate area, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Provide constant inspection of product being received to ensure quality specifications are being met (count, weight, cost, expirations, etc.).
  • Receives and processes all defective merchandise returned for replacement or credit.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to leadership. Document returns for credit.
  • Reject deliveries that do not meet Purchase Order Specifications and inform applicable leadership.
  • Price and label product as directed.
  • Carries or utilizes hand trucks or carts to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas. Inform final department of any shortages.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
  • Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order.
  • May be required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our outlets using a company vehicle.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribe safety regulations.
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation requirements are maintained for applicable receiving and storage areas.
  • Review daily ordering, product and product rotation practices.
  • Support inventory processes through applicable software (may vary between locations).

This is a Part-Time opportunity working Weekdays & Weekends, shifts vary from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

Skills/Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school education, preferred or equivalentand three years of experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbalinstructions and use simple math.
  • A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly range for this position is $16.68. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
