Job summary
Clarkson PLC in Houston seeks a Senior Analyst to provide market data, analysis and insights for the crude shipping market and help identify new business opportunities. You will deliver timely market reports to brokers and clients and help drive strategic decisions.
You will produce reports, presentations, and updates, maintain databases, and collaborate with Broking Support to enhance data delivery and client offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven market analysis experience within the shipping industry.
- Experience in the Crude arena will be advantageous.
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify and analyse shipping market trends and economic data to inform market outlook.
- Produce reports and presentations with market commentary and analysis and deliver them to existing and future clients.
- Be proactive and strategic and remain ahead of events and issues that will impact trade flows.
- Actively engage, and challenge brokers and our clients.
- Provide information to brokers and clients so that they have meaningful information on an accurate and timely basis for them to make best decisions.
- Maintain key databases and presentation slide packs.
- Provide general assistance with a variety of ad-hoc analytical requests.
- Continually look at ways to improve our internal systems, data collection and the delivery of our analysis.
- Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
