Job summary

Cardinal Health in La Vergne, Tennessee is seeking a Warehouse Operations associate to support receipt, storage and shipment of product. You will liaise with internal teams and carrier partners to ensure accurate, timely deliveries and adherence to company policies.

The role runs Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm with overtime as needed. You may operate equipment such as order pickers and forklifts, and participate in process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Build relationships with our commercial carrier partners.
• Ensure carriers follow guidelines in day-to-day operations based on Cardinal Health's policies and procedures.
• Freight monitoring and KPI reporting.
• Expedite urgent shipping requests.
• Handle customer complaints, investigate delivery issues and report outcome to internal Customer Service Group.
• Work with dedicated carrier partners to meet client needs.
• Scheduling dedicated trucks for clients.
• Provide guidance or technical assistance to organizational projects.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as requires by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 6:30pm (overtime per business needs)

Anticipated hourly range: $22.50 per hour - $26.80 per hour based on experience (includes shift differential)
