Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years in ship electrical design.
• Experience with ABS and IEEE 45 standards, 3D modeling, and ship system integration.
• Active SECRET clearance verifiable in DISS or ability to obtain interim SECRET.
• Experience in FMEA and energy storage / Lithium battery systems.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze electrical systems for ships, boats, and craft; participate in concept studies.
• Support contract design, detail design, and construction activities for electrical integration.
• Participate in in-service ship design and upgrades; ensure safety standards.
• Support shipboard testing and verification of electrical systems.
• Mentor junior engineers within the shipbuilding team.
• Lead or collaborate on power distribution design prioritizing safety and reliability.
