Collier County’s Domestic Animal Services division seeks a capable operations administrator to support the Division Director in running the county's animal shelter and care services.

Responsibilities include overseeing intake, housing, enrichment, and disposition; coordinating with Code Enforcement, Animal Control, and law enforcement; guiding staff, managing budgets, contracts, and community outreach; ensuring compliance with Florida statutes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five (5) years of related experience.
• Previous related supervisory/management experience required.
• Candidates without a degree should possess four (4) additional years of related experience.
• Fingerprinting required.
• Must obtain and maintain Florida Euthanasia Injection certification within two years.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License with applicable endorsements.

Responsabilités

• Oversee shelter operations including intake, housing, care, enrichment, and disposition.
• Coordinate with Code Enforcement, Animal Control Officers, the Sheriff’s Office, and other agencies regarding intake, quarantine, and disposition.
• Provide administrative support to veterinary clinic operations and community programs.
• Supervise, direct, and evaluate staff; manage workload and performance.
• Develop staff through training, coaching, and performance management.
• Assist in development and administration of the division budget; monitor expenditures.
