Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires Valid Florida Driver's License (must be maintained for duration of employment).
• Previous animal care experience in a shelter, kennel, veterinary practice, boarding facility, rescue organization, or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily kennel operations and staff; plans schedules and coverage.
• Trains employees and volunteers in animal care, handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Evaluates employee performance and coaches, referring concerns to management.
• Oversees feeding, watering, exercise, enrichment, and general care of shelter animals.
• Monitors animals for illness, injury, stress, or behavioral changes; reports concerns.
