Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to advance fabrication and paint capabilities. You will shape technology roadmaps, justify capital expenditures, and partner with design to improve DFM in sheet metal fabrication.

The role emphasizes implementing robust OEE improvements, equipment capacity planning, and strategic outsourcing relationships across Global operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in Manufacturing Engineering supporting soft-tooled sheet metal fabrication: turret punching, laser cutting, press brakes, powder coating.
• Experience selecting and implementing machine tools from startup to throughput.

Responsibilities

• Lead area layouts, process definition, and equipment selection for capacity and CI projects.
• Support DFM in NPI with sheet metal components.
• Contribute to facility transformation and technology transfer for sheet metal fabrication.
• Implement policies and process documentation for ongoing CI in sheet metal areas.
• Drive demand-driven planning and synchronized material/information flows.
• Promote continuous improvement with shop floor teams.
