Cross Resource Group is seeking a seasoned Sheetmetal/Ductwork Mechanic to lead field crews in installing, fabricating, and servicing duct systems. You will read blueprints, mentor apprentices, and coordinate with project teams to ensure quality craftsmanship and on‑time delivery.

The role emphasizes safety, proficiency with SMACNA standards, and hands‑on leadership to develop junior mechanics on diverse projects across commercial and industrial settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of commercial/industrial sheetmetal/ductwork experience.
• Strong knowledge of SMACNA duct construction standards & hanger requirements.
• Ability to read drawings and fabricate/install duct systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and hang duct systems per SMACNA standards and project specs.
• Read shop drawings, fabricate fittings, and install ductwork in field or shop.
• Troubleshoot ductwork issues and perform TAB/commissioning activities.
• Mentor YouthForce Apprentices and support project milestones.
• Follow safety rules, maintain equipment, and communicate progress.
