Job summary

The North Cobb Senior Nutrition Program is operated by Cobb County Government and seeks a dedicated team member to plan, coordinate and lead activities for seniors, ensuring welcoming, engaging experiences during meals and events.

Responsibilities include designing programs, assisting with classes, providing good customer service, coordinating presentations, and organizing space and transportation for monthly activities, while maintaining calendars and materials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with two years of experience providing programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills; data entry experience.
• Experience with the senior community or community center environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and designing programming, services, activities and/or events for the department; research needs and develop content; schedule activities.
• Implement programming and lead classes for participants at different fitness/cognitive levels; recruit participants and manage materials.
• Provide customer service to clients and the public; respond to questions and enroll clients for programs.
• Coordinate programming and presentations with community groups; schedule speakers and demonstrations.
• Plan, lead, and supervise events; arrange space and transportation; recruit participants.
• Assist in planning and implementing public relations; create promotional materials and maintain calendars.
• Provide clerical support; prepare reports and update calendars; manage inventory.
