Job summary

Rockdale County, Georgia is seeking an Operations Manager, Senior Services to organize, coordinate and direct major functions of the Senior Services program and center operations. The role supervises staff and volunteers and reports to the Deputy Director, Senior Services.

The position involves planning annual programs, managing budgets, ensuring health and safety compliance, and coordinating transportation and community outreach for residents 60+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in gerontology, social work, human services, business administration or related field.
• Five (5) years progressively responsible experience in senior services or closely related experience.
• Valid Georgia driver's license; CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, Serv Safe and CACTS or obtain within first 90 days of employment.
• Eligibility to work with elders in the state of Georgia evidenced through the federal digital fingerprint background check (conducted as required by OHS regulations).

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for the Division when Deputy Director is unavailable.
• Plan, implement and evaluate monthly programs to meet contract requirements.
• Supervise staff and volunteers; train personnel and resolve complaints.
• Coordinate nutrition program with Food Service Manager; ensure health/fire/ARC/DAS compliance.
• Oversee outreach to engage residents 60+ in programs and services.
• Coordinate transportation with Transportation Manager.
