Job summary

GCyber is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to lead the technical development of a custom ServiceNow application in an AWS-enabled environment. The role requires turning requirements into designs, building complex capabilities, and guiding other developers.

You will design data models, security, workflows, and interfaces while developing integrations with AWS services, Kafka, and Elasticsearch. You will mentor mid-level and junior developers and participate in code reviews.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of software development experience with at least four years in ServiceNow development.
• Ability to design and develop complex custom or scoped ServiceNow applications.
• Advanced JavaScript skills and strong object-oriented design fundamentals.
• Experience with ServiceNow components: Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, Glide APIs, Flow Designer.
• Experience building integrations with external systems including authentication, retries, and logging.
• Mentoring and conducting code reviews to raise team coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex capabilities in a custom ServiceNow application.
• Translate requirements into technical designs and development tasks.
• Develop server-side and client-side functionality using JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs.
• Design data models, security structures, workflows, interfaces, and error-handling patterns.
• Develop integrations with AWS-hosted services, external apps, and data sources.
• Design REST APIs, IntegrationHub connections, and MID Server integrations.
• Contribute to Kafka-based messaging and Elasticsearch-based patterns.
• Establish coding standards and reusable patterns for maintainability and security.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Diagnose complex issues across components and support testing and release planning.
• Produce technical designs, data mappings, and deployment procedures.
