Job summary

AbbVie seeks a discipline expert and technical leader to drive enterprise architecture strategy and governance. You will lead architecture alignment across systems, manage ServiceNow-based solutions, and ensure security and compliance in regulated environments.

You will mentor teams, influence senior stakeholders, and shape multi-year roadmaps while collaborating with business, HR, IT, and external vendors to deliver scalable technology outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with 9+ years in science or technology
  • Strong ServiceNow background in enterprise systems and solution architecture
  • Experience designing and governing enterprise service management, Service Portal, Catalogs, HR, CSM, GRC and workflow automation
  • Demonstrated ability to balance business needs with long-term sustainability
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Experience in regulated environments with security and compliance considerations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills

Responsibilities

  • Develops and drives discipline strategy aligned with functional goals and key business objectives, including enterprise solution and system architecture.
  • Provides architectural leadership and design guidance for enterprise service management, ServiceNow, and enterprise solutions.
  • Ensures quality and effectiveness of major initiatives through sound architectural design, risk assessment, and mitigation.
  • Partners with business, HR, OEC, IT, and BTS stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technology solutions.
  • Reviews and evaluates solution options, enhancements, and integrations to assess enterprise impact and security.
  • Advances technical expertise by mentoring, advising, and sharing architectural best practices.
  • Identifies and evaluates emerging technology trends and integrates relevant advancements into planning.
  • Shapes and manages relationships with vendors and partners in line with corporate standards.
  • Ensures adherence to security, compliance, data protection, and audit requirements.
  • Contributes to multi-year roadmaps and project plans to identify risks and opportunities.

Job Description

As a discipline expert and technical leader, drives functional performance by designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions that enable and accelerate delivery of new or improved products and services. Acts as a technical leader at group, department, and cross-functional levels, responsible for managing Technology, Solution, and System architectures and ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture standards. Provides architectural leadership and governance across key enterprise solutions, including service management and workflow technologies, to ensure scalability, security, and alignment with businessobjectives.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent education in Science or Technology-related field plus 9 years of experience;Masters Degreeor equivalent education in Science or Technologyplus 8 years of experience; PhD in Science or Technology-related field or PharmD plus 4 years of experience.
  • Strong ServiceNow technical background in enterprise systems and solution architecture, preferably in regulated environments.
  • Experience designing and governing enterprise service management, Service Portal, Catalogs, HR, CSM, GRC solutions, and workflow automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate solution options and design architectures that balance business needs and long-term sustainability.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in regulated environments with security and compliance considerations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes ingood faith it will pay for this role at the timeof this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
