Job summary

GM Defense is seeking a Serviceability Design Engineer to advance serviceability and remanufacturability across GM Defense vehicles. You will participate in design development reviews, address service issues, and ensure ITAR adherence while supporting both electrical and mechanical components.

Responsibilities include leading service parts development, tool validation, and coordinating with multiple internal teams and suppliers to drive cost reductions and reliability improvements. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in serviceability engineering, field service, or product support.
• 5 years of professional experience.
• Ability to read engineering schematics.
• Familiarity with service information diagnostics and/or authoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification of service parts for development of Service Parts BOM.
• Support development and validation of service tools and procedures.
• Provide technical support for multiple teams including program management, product engineering, parts release, remanufacturing, service training, warranty, and field support.
• Collaborate with suppliers to implement cost reductions and improvements.
• Provide technical direction to support personnel as required.
• Communicate information to internal and external customers.
