Job summary

As a Senior Service Technician, your role involves maintaining optimal operation of copiers and digital printers through preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. You will install parts, maintenance kits, perform factory modifications, and make adjustments as directed by manufacturers.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal operation at customer sites.
  • Prioritize and accurately close service calls.
  • Maintain equipment performance following manufacturer procedures.
  • Report any poor or suspect machine performance to management.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of parts.
  • Stay current with new technology via manufacturer training and online courses.
  • Assist fellow technicians with service calls.
  • Provide Level 1 connectivity support and customer training to enhance productivity and reduce service tickets.
  • Assist customers with loading paper, replacing toner, and other key-operator functions as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical and electrical support experience in the office product industry.
  • Network connectivity skills for installations and customer support, including remote assistance.
  • Formal training on at least 10 models from any manufacturer.
  • Completion of at least 2 KDA online courses or connectivity courses.
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to install, diagnose, and troubleshoot network MFPs, including scanning capabilities.
  • Ability to travel within the customer base.
  • Ability to read and follow technical schematics and manuals.
  • Maintain an 80% First Call Fix Rate.
  • Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
  • Physical ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred qualifications include additional industry certifications and advanced technical skills.
