Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. We are seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic Senior to perform all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair mechanic under minimal supervision in Charlotte, NC.

This safety-sensitive role requires hands-on expertise, the ability to troubleshoot major problems, and the capacity to mentor apprentice technicians while maintaining a clean, organized shop and strong

Qualifications

• Minimum three years hands-on experience in heavy-duty truck repair.
• Graduate of vocational courses acceptable.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled and complicated mechanical work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with minimum supervision.
• Troubleshoot major problems.
• Works with and help train apprentice technicians.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic Senior. The Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic Senior performs all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair mechanic under minimal supervision.

• Performs skilled and complicated mechanical work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with minimum supervision.


• Performs trouble shooting on major problems.


• Works with and help train apprentice technicians.


• Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
