The Promontory Club, located just outside of Park City, Utah, is seeking a full-time Senior Service Host to join our team. The duties of a Senior Service Host are to deliver service in an upscale atmosphere demonstrating the grace and hospitality indicative of a superior quality restaurant. Getting to know the membership of Promontory and their preferences and making the Sage Restaurant the Members’ home dining room.

REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES:

• Ensure the cleanliness of the dining room and FOH equipment operations, monitoring and maintaining the ambiance of the dining area, including lighting, music, and overall cleanliness.
• Ensure timely opening and closing of restaurant facilities and conduct opening and closing protocols.
• Enjoy problem solving and adept at multiple resolution styles with members and coworkers, conducting all inquiries and resolutions in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure reservations are organized and recorded correctly, keeping track of reservations, updating the reservation system, and managing the flow of guests during peak times.
• Maintain a cheerful and friendly disposition with members and coworkers despite the stress of the work environment.
• Maintain a clean and neat professional appearance and attitude.
• Attention to detail and enforcement of company policies.
• Build and maintain membership relationships for the betterment of Promontory and the community's mission.
• Address guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Plan and coordinate special events, private parties, or large group reservations, ensuring that all guest requirements are met.
• Effectively communicate with the serving staff, kitchen, and other restaurant personnel to ensure efficient service and address any special requests or concerns from guests.
• Deliver any other reasonable request of senior management.
• Assist with all service in the Restaurant ensuring the needs of all guests are taken care of.
• Maintain responsibility for compliance with regards to Utah Department of Alcohol and Beverage Control.
• Ensure that all health codes and company safety standards are complied with.
• Report to Sage’s Front of House Manager.
• Other duties as assigned or as required ensuring the guest has a positive and satisfactory dining experience.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENT: College Degree in Hospitality preferred. High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required with four years' experience and/or training in an upscale restaurant environment, hotel, resort, or private club. Maintain TIPS and Serve Safe certifications.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A broad background in fine dining. Several years' experience supervising high-end table service required. Basic computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook; and POS software.

WORKING KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED ON JOB: Abide by Promontory policies and procedures and submit ideas for possible revision.

UNUSUAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Must be willing to work various hours, holidays, weekends, and long hours on feet.

Must be at least 21 years or older and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
