Ardent is seeking a Service Desk Engineer for an onsite role in Washington, DC. The position focuses on designing and maintaining secure workstation images and patch management to reduce risk from threats while supporting the government customer.

Strong engineering emphasis, not routine help desk, with a need for robust security controls and device lifecycle operations. The role requires active TS clearance, a relevant degree, and extensive enterprise IT engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Eight years in Information Technology, Endpoint Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
• Six years engineering in enterprise environments.
• Experience with change control, audit, and security governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure workstation images for macOS and Windows.
• Manage patching and lifecycle using Ivanti, Intune, and GPO workflows.
• Maintain baseline security configurations for endpoints for on-site and remote use.
• Coordinate patching across Windows endpoints using Intune and GPO.
• Develop enrollment workflows for Intune, Autopilot, and device management systems.
• Operate imaging toolchains and automation scripts for production releases.
• Ensure imaging integrity prior to deployment.
• Maintain imaging and deployment scripts (Ivanti, KACE, JAMF, etc.).
• Implement and enforce device compliance and security policies.
