Speedrun Talent Network is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to transform ambitious ideas into production systems for developers and real business impact. You’ll own end‑to‑end features across backend APIs, orchestration, and developer tools, shaping architecture and product outcomes.

You’ll collaborate across teams to ensure robust, scalable, and observable systems, mentoring others and driving engineering excellence in a remote‑first environment.

Qualifications

• Distributed, high‑performance systems experience.
• Proficient in PHP or Go for backend services.
• Designing and delivering scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Understanding asynchronous workloads, queues, and streaming data.
• Experience with cloud and bare‑metal infrastructure.
• Strong system design, performance optimization, and scalability knowledge.
• Clear communicator who leads technical projects across teams.
• Mentoring others and raising engineering standards.
• Proactive problem‑solver balancing short‑term delivery with long‑term goals.
• Willingness to operate in European time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of core systems powering Runware’s AI platform.
• Build and evolve backend APIs, SDKs, and developer tools that make AI integration seamless.
• Integrate and optimise image and video models while supporting new modalities such as audio and custom LLMs.
• Architect scalable, reliable systems for inference orchestration and workload optimisation.
• Partner with platform and infrastructure teams to drive performance, reliability, and observability improvements.
• Shape technical direction through architectural discussions and long‑term planning.
• Mentor engineers through code and design reviews, fostering technical excellence and growth.
• Contribute to documentation, tooling, and SDKs that enhance the overall developer experience.
• Drive initiatives that improve how we build, deploy, and maintain our platform.
