Job summary

ZT Systems seeks a Sustaining Systems Engineer to drive validation and debug for next-gen servers in a fast-paced environment. You will coordinate ECOs, analyze changes, and ensure system-level compatibility across hardware and software components.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in x-86 architecture, board-level development, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on reliability and manufacturability throughout the product life cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; 6+ years of server design experience (or MS + 4+ years).
• Strong understanding of x-86 system architecture and platform execution.
• Knowledge of hardware/software interactions and board-level development.
• Experience with validation, debugging, and subsystems integration.
• Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess ECOs and change requests; coordinate validation plans for mass production servers.
• Define system specifications and I/O for hardware/software compatibility.
• Maintain configurations through sustenance phase and EoL.
• Develop validation and debug methodologies for customer changes and alternate part validation.
• Improve system performance; ensure manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability.
