Job summary

UltraViolet Cyber in San Jose, CA seeks a Senior Security EDR Engineer to optimize SentinelOne deployments for a Fortune 250 customer. You will lead a global team, refine detection rules, and align EDR with SIEM and SOAR workflows.

You will collaborate with SentinelOne Wayfinder MDR and the customer SOC, migrate data sources, and document best practices. On-site up to 4 days/week with a minimum 3‑month commitment, to drive security modernization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of security engineering experience with hands-on SentinelOne Singularity work.
• CISSP certification (or equivalent)
• SentinelOne certification(s) and/or SentinelOne University experience.
• Experience administering and optimizing SentinelOne in enterprise environments.
• Experience working with SentinelOne Wayfinder/Vigilance MDR alongside an internal SOC.
• Strong detection engineering and alert-tuning skills.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and upskill a team through documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Strong incident response and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Zero Trust architecture and endpoint security modernization.
• Experience with enterprise endpoint management platforms.
• Experience integrating SentinelOne with other security tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current SentinelOne deployment and content, identify gaps and risks.
• Migrate and optimize data sources and detection content.
• Integrate SentinelOne with other security tools to strengthen monitoring ecosystem.
• Design and maintain SentinelOne data models for use cases and reporting.
• Develop, tune, and optimize detection rules and alerts to reduce false positives.
• Partner with SentinelOne Wayfinder MDR and the customer’s SOC on alert flow and response.
• Manage and optimize SentinelOne endpoints for growth in a hybrid global environment.
• Improve SOC processes, playbooks, and reporting beyond detection content.
• Lead knowledge transfer and upskilling for customer teams.
• Provide technical expertise during security incidents and coordinate response activities.
