Job summary
Dexcom, based in sunny San Diego, leads in continuous glucose monitoring technology. The Sensor Design & Development team drives innovative improvements to on‑market sensors and supports NPI with cross‑functional partners.
This senior role requires deep sensor tech expertise, high‑volume manufacturing experience, and strong leadership to deliver robust CAPA and design transfers across global operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 15+ years related experience, or Master’s degree and 10+ years, or PhD and 7+ years.
- Experience in regulated medical device environments (FDA, ISO 13485).
- Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization; risk management and decision making under ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of improvements to current sensor products.
- Identify, prioritize, and drive design and process improvements for quality, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
- Lead structured root‑cause investigations and failure analyses; define, verify, and sustain robust CAPA.
- Partner with Quality, Sustaining, and Operations Engineering on field performance data and CI projects.
- Support production scale‑up, second‑source qualification, and change control per design controls and quality system.
