Job summary

Western Digital Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to support semiconductor tooling in our California manufacturing facilities.

The role focuses on preventative maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineering to enhance tool reliability. Ideal candidates hold an electronics/industrial manufacturing background with 2+ years in a high-volume environment and familiarity with AMAT Endura, Veeco, ASML, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electronics, industrial manufacturing, and/or equivalent relevant experience.
• Two years or more of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance in the semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing industry.
• Strong foundation in pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing tools such as AMAT Endura, Veeco, Novellus, Canon Anelva, ASML Scanners, Nikon Steppers, KLA Metrology, and related equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to read schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and preventative maintenance on tool sets; ensures tools are performing at optimum levels and within specification.
• Troubleshoots and resolves tool issues quickly and efficiently to ensure optimum tool uptime.
• Partners with engineering, vendors, or other groups to improve tool reliability and resolve yield issues.
• Prepares data or documentation for daily/weekly pass down meetings.
• Reads and interprets schematics, mechanical drawings, manuals, and tool repair guides.
• Adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
