Job summary

Independent Purchasing Cooperative (IPC) in Miami, FL, seeks a Sr. Semantic Layer Analytics Engineer to transform curated data into trusted, business-ready models for reporting, self-service analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.

You will design semantic and dimensional models, build Power BI datasets, and partner with Data Product Engineers and BI developers to ensure governed, reusable data assets. Strong data modeling and business-process insight are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills with dimensional modeling.
• Experience building semantic models and reusable datasets for self-service analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain semantic models and dimensional structures for enterprise reporting.
• Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models including measures and hierarchies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data structures.
• Validate models against business rules and source data; ensure data governance and quality.
