Job summary
Global AV Group seeks an experienced Security Systems Technician for field-based work across Long Island and the NYC area. You will install, program, commission, and service access control, IP cameras, video management, and intrusion alarm systems.
The role requires hands-on tune-up, strong drawing-reading ability, and coordination with project teams. Travel and occasional overtime are expected.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional security system installation and programming experience.
- Hands-on experience with access control, IP cameras, and intrusion alarm systems.
- Ability to program and commission security systems, not just install them.
- Working knowledge of IP networking and basic network troubleshooting.
- Ability to read drawings, wiring diagrams, and project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, configure, test, commission, and service access control systems.
- Install and configure IP cameras and video management systems.
- Install, program, and troubleshoot intrusion and burglar alarm systems.
- Coordinate with project teams and document daily progress and test results.
- Travel across Long Island, NYC, and surrounding areas as required.
