Role Description

The Security Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining security and communication systems, including alarm panels, access control devices, surveillance equipment, and related infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include performing system diagnostics, troubleshooting technical issues, testing equipment for proper functionality, and documenting all work performed according to company standards.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience in the security industry
• Hands-on experience with leading industry manufacturers, such as but not limited to:
• Genetec, AMAG, BOSCH, AXIS, and similar platforms
• Strong headend experience including wiring panels, performing punch-downs, and configuring IP-based systems (cameras, panels, infrastructure)
• Ability to read and and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient communication and problem-solving skills
• Lead and support field technicians on installation, maintenance and troubleshooting systems
• Coordinate with project managers and other internal key members

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for identifying and resolving hardware and software issues in security and communication systems.
