Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Security Support Specialist to assist, monitor, and advise on all security activities for Top-Secret and higher classifications. The role requires coordinating with USSOCOM personnel, contractors, and civilians in challenging environments and developing security methodologies.

The ideal candidate has extensive DoD/IC compartmented program experience, SCIF planning, security training oversight, and a strong grasp of safeguarding policies and disclosure controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) years of Physical, Personnel and Special Security experience within the DoD or equivalent Government agencies required, with operational level experience preferred.
• Extensive experience in compartmented programs in DoD, U.S. Intelligence community, or supporting U.S. Contractors to include PSIP, Access control, ACCM, and SAP/STO process.
• Extensive experience in compartmented programs integration and effects planning into the Joint or service‑specific mission process.
• Experience with SCIF planning and accreditation, recertification processes and procedures and familiar with the SCIF construction process as per the ICD 705 standard with Special Access Facility Accrediting Official Course Desired.
• Must be capable of planning, structuring, and leading security training support for other security professionals.
• Firsthand experience with Foreign Disclosure Officer and Foreign Disclosure Representative actions and procedures.
• Experience with personnel background investigations for collateral and special security clearance actions including: Formulating and ensuring compliance with automated information systems security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assist in implementation of security activities at the Top‑Secret and higher classification to ensure USSOCOM personnel and all supported tenant organizations are prepared to operate in non‑traditional environments to perform critical contingency tasks.
• Develop written technical approaches and methodologies regarding security proposals.
