Senior Security Solutions Architect (RapidScale)

We seek an experienced Security Solutions Architect to join our go-to-market team. This strategic role involves serving as a trusted security advisor, helping shape secure, scalable solutions across hybrid, public, and private cloud environments. You will collaborate with account teams, product specialists, and engineering to translate business needs into secure technical architectures that drive customer success and growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Security Expertise: Act as the cybersecurity subject matter expert, knowledgeable in compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS, HIPAA, PCI) and secure architecture best practices across cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
2. Sales Enablement: Partner with solution engineers and account executives to develop secure, differentiated solutions, especially for regulated industries like healthcare and finance.
3. Customer Engagement: Lead security-focused discovery sessions, workshops, and executive briefings to understand client needs and communicate value.
4. Solution Design: Design and validate security architectures, integrating security controls (IAM, encryption, network segmentation, SIEM/SOAR) into customer solutions.
5. Technical Validation: Conduct demos, pilots, and RFx responses with a security-first approach.
6. Thought Leadership: Stay updated on evolving threats and technologies; contribute to internal knowledge bases and security initiatives.
7. Collaboration: Work with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to influence product development and address customer requirements.
8. Training & Upskilling: Support internal and partner training on security principles and practices.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• A BA/BS Degree with 6+ years of experience, or a MS Degree with 4+ years, or a Ph.D. with 1 year, or 10+ years of experience without a degree.
• 5+ years in pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical consulting, with at least 3 years focused on cybersecurity.
• Understanding of security architectures in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with modern security tools (Zero Trust, CNAPP, SASE, XDR).
• Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Certifications like CISSP, CCSP, CISM, and cloud security specialties.
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance or healthcare.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and bridge business and technical needs.
• Customer advocacy, secure design passion, and trust-building skills.
• Collaborative mindset with influencing skills.

Salary range: USD 126,200 - 189,200 annually, plus an incentive/commission target of USD 52,800.
