Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Security Software Engineer to enhance the Starlink security posture for the Starlink.com and mobile applications. You will identify vulnerabilities, design secure software processes, and guide developers to build secure systems.

The role focuses on proactive security improvements, bug-bounty triage, and protecting customer data while supporting SpaceX's interplanetary mission goals. Washington state-based office in Redmond offers extensive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in CS or STEM and 5+ years of security software development experience; or 7+ years without a degree.
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions for web/mobile apps.
• Familiarity with web/mobile development and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink.com and the Starlink mobile application.
• Continually audit and assess Starlink Internet infrastructure for security issues.
• Design security into software processes and provide developer guidance for secure applications.
• Monitor bug bounty submissions and coordinate responses for legitimate reports.
• Build prototypes and test security improvements.
• Support mission of providing secure and reliable Internet to underserved communities.
