Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the AWS SecDevOps team in Seattle. You will contribute across front-end, back-end, or full-stack domains and leverage AWS services to empower security response engineers to be more productive.

You will lead architectural decisions, mentor teammates, and balance rapid delivery with long-term maintainability in security-critical infrastructure. Collaboration with customers and diverse teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Own team-level architecture and design guidance for security response systems, ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, extensible, and simple.
• Lead projects requiring the coordinated work of multiple engineers, taking accountability for the design even when you don't author every component, maintaining a high security bar.
• Take business problems where the technology strategy is undefined and drive clarity, making sound trade-offs between short-term delivery and long-term maintainability.
