Job summary

Cloudflare, a leading Internet infrastructure company, seeks an engineer to build and operate secure distributed systems for secrets and key management across a global network. You will help strengthen internal PKI and machine/workload identity, while supporting operations and guiding secure design decisions.

You will work with teams to ensure security-by-design and contribute to the evolution of the infrastructure that protects and accelerates Internet applications worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience building secure distributed systems and services.
• Strong background in Linux/UNIX administration and operational excellence.
• Hands-on security engineering with practical implementation focus, not policy.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate secure, resilient distributed systems for secrets and key management across Cloudflare’s global network.
• Strengthen and re-architect internal PKI and machine/workload identity.
• Run and support produced systems, participate in on-call rotations for incident response.
• Advise on design/architecture to ensure security from the ground up.
