Cloudflare is seeking a highly capable engineer for the Security Platform team. You will build and operate secure, distributed systems for secrets and key management across our expansive network. Focus areas include internal PKI and machine/workload identity, with on-call rotation and cross-team collaboration to ensure security by design.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation over policy, and requires strong software and security expertise within a global infrastructure context.

Qualifications

• Linux/UNIX system administration proficiency.
• Strong security background with focus on implementation.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate secure, resilient distributed systems for secrets and key management across the Cloudflare network.
• Strengthen/re-architect internal PKI and machine/workload identity."
• Run and support systems, and assist internal developers in using them.
• Participate in On-Call rotation for incident response.
• Advise on design/architecture to ensure secure usage of services.
