Job summary

Sezzle is hiring a Senior Security Platform Engineer to design, build and operate backend security services in Golang and Python on AWS and Kubernetes. You will own the event-driven security platform, the NATS bus, and gate tooling (SAST/SCA/secret scanning) with automated triage and remediation workflows.

This fully remote role reports to Information Security and partners with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in software engineering, strong backend skills, and hands-on

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Proven track record deploying changes to production in past 30 days.
• Strong Golang proficiency and working Python knowledge.
• Hands-on with event-driven or message-based systems (NATS, Kafka, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate security engineering services in Golang and Python on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Own the event-driven platform between security services and the NATS bus.
• Integrate scanners to findings, tickets, and metrics for visibility.
• Own SAST, SCA, secret scanning and rollout tooling for gates.
• Build agentic security workflows adopted by engineers.
• Automate triage and remediation, including reproduction context and routing.
• Participate in threat modelling and secure design reviews.
• Contribute to on-call rotation for the services you own.
