Job summary

Samsara is seeking aSecurity Operations professional to monitor incidents and drive response efforts across global teams. You will lead investigations, develop incident strategies, and provide actionable guidance to engineers, legal, and leadership.

You’ll also build automation to improve investigations while aligning with Samsara’s culture and long‑term security goals. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in incident response, strong Python scripting, SIEM experience, and cloud security know‑how

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Security Incident Response.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical staff, executives, and legal.
• Ability to build scripts/tools to support investigations with Python.
• Lead during security incidents with cross-team coordination.
• Knowledge of macOS/Windows/Linux for forensics.
• Experience with SIEM tools for log reviews.
• Experience in cloud security (AWS, GCP).
• Based in Pacific Time Zone (US/Canada); on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and provide technical analysis on alerts.
• Lead information security incidents and investigations; develop incident response strategy.
• Deliver security guidance for incident response and insider threat initiatives.
• Coordinate services, integrations, and implementations to support security operations.
• Embed Samsara’s cultural principles while scaling globally.
