Point72 Asset Management’s Technology team champions open-source solutions, modern cloud architectures, and AI to advance the firm’s IT infrastructure and security posture.

The Senior Security Lead will spearhead investigations into sophisticated cyber threats, serve as incident commander for major incidents, and drive threat intelligence efforts. You will partner with development teams to strengthen security tooling and analytics across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in intelligence, information security, network forensics, insider threat, or security operations
• Understanding of key global threat areas affecting financial institutions, APTs and cyber actor motives
• Experience with Splunk and creating visualizations/dashboards for security monitoring
• Exceptional ability to analyze, correlate, and synthesize threat data into clear conclusions
• Proven ability to perform log file analysis and produce threat intelligence reports
• Extensive experience applying analytics, network diagrams, and related knowledge to understand systems
• Ability to work with development teams and articulate security requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into sophisticated cyber threats and shape defensive actions
• Serve as incident commander for high or critical incidents, coordinating response actions and keeping stakeholders aligned
• Analyze and correlate security telemetry, log data, and threat intelligence to identify malicious activity
• Develop threat intelligence reports explaining findings, mitigations, confidence levels and implications
• Create dashboards and visualizations that help detect patterns and prioritize risks
• Hunt for advanced adversary activity using analytics, diagrams, and system knowledge
• Partner with development teams to define requirements and enhancements for security capabilities
• Document investigative findings and lessons learned to strengthen detection and response procedures
• Brief technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership on active threats and recommended actions
