Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Security Operations Engineer in San Antonio to design, integrate, operate, and continuously improve enterprise security platforms, ensuring availability, performance, and resilience across teams.

You will develop automation, dashboards, and metrics for leadership, partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and engineering teams, and contribute to improving the organization's security posture; the role includes 24x7 support and a robust rewards package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in DevSecOps or cybersecurity with hands-on security operations experience.
• Experience integrating security platforms via APIs, web services, and identity protocols.
• Proven experience operating enterprise security products and solutions.
• Advanced scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, or IaC.
• Expertise in optimizing security alerting and incident response processes.
• Ability to present operational metrics and executive reporting for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security platform integrations with enterprise apps, cloud services, identity providers, and tools.
• Manage day-to-day operational health of security platforms, including monitoring, incidents, SLAs and capacity planning.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to improve response times and reduce manual effort.
• Enhance log onboarding, alert correlation, event normalization, deduplication, and detection tuning.
• Create and deliver security metrics dashboards and reports for technical and leadership stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, and engineering teams to improve security posture.
