Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Security Operations Engineer in Southern California to design, integrate, operate, and continuously improve enterprise security platforms and services. You will ensure availability, performance, and resilience through proactive monitoring, incident management, and 24x7 support, partnering with multiple teams to strengthen security visibility and operational resilience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in DevSecOps/cybersecurity with hands-on security ops
• Experience integrating security platforms via APIs, web services, event-driven architecture and identity protocols
• Proven experience operating enterprise security products and solutions
• Advanced scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs or infrastructure-as-code
• Expertise optimizing security alerting and operational processes
• Experience building and presenting security metrics, KPIs, dashboards for technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security platform integrations with enterprise apps, cloud services, identity providers, and security tools to improve visibility and automation
• Manage the day-to-day operational health of security platforms including service availability, monitoring, incident management, SLA adherence, capacity planning, and 24x7 support
• Develop and maintain advanced automation solutions, scripts, and workflows to streamline security operations
• Optimize security operations by enhancing log onboarding, alert correlation, event normalization, deduplication, and detection tuning
• Create and deliver operational, service, and security metrics dashboards and reports for technical teams, leadership, and business stakeholders
• Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and engineering teams to continuously improve security posture and monitoring
