Qualifications

• Four years or more continuous work experience in law enforcement, security or corrections.
• Or three years or more security experience in a mental health facility.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver license or obtain it no later than 90 days after hire date.
• Current CPR/AED certification preferred, willingness to be certified within 6 months required.
• All applicants must pass background checks and comply with immunization policy.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital grounds to monitor and mitigate incidents.
• Direct junior officers and adjust shift plans to meet objectives.
• Provide security to the hospital campus and assist visitors.
• Operate switchboard, fire alarm system and emergency response line.
• Investigate incidents and write reports for incidents around the grounds.
• Escort disruptive people off hospital grounds as needed.
