Job summary

Plenful is seeking an accomplished Security Leader to own and evolve our security program across product, cloud, and operations. You will build a small team, partner with Engineering, Legal, and Compliance, and drive threat modeling, incident response, and risk remediation in a fast-growing healthcare AI company.

You will shape security standards for AI-enabled products, manage vendor risk, and communicate effectively with executives and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience across security domains.
• 2+ years leading security teams or major cross-functional initiatives.
• Hands-on app security and security-ops experience in modern web apps and APIs.
• Ability to read code, reason about flaws, and coach engineers on fixes.
• Experience with threat modeling, secure architecture reviews, and incident response.
• Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps.
• Strong cloud security background, preferably AWS, with IAM and logging expertise.
• Experience securing enterprise SaaS platforms and multi-tenant architectures.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, and healthcare security controls.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a pragmatic security roadmap aligned with product and business goals.
• Lead a small security team and coordinate work with Engineering, IT, Legal, and Compliance.
• Own critical security work and build scalable processes and automation.
• Prioritize risks by exploitability, business impact, and regulatory requirements.
• Create security processes that enable rapid product development without slowdowns.
• Lead threat modeling, security reviews, and pentest remediation efforts.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and software delivery.
• Establish governance, risk, and compliance programs including HIPAA and SOC 2.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success to address security questionnaires and due diligence.
