Job summary

Plenful, a healthcare AI security leader, seeks a Senior Manager/Manager, Security to build and mature security across product, cloud, governance, and incident response. You will lead a small team, work with Engineering, Legal, and Compliance, and directly remediate vulnerabilities with engineers.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in security and 2+ years of leadership, with hands-on expertise in AppSec, cloud security, and incident response. This role offers a hybrid model with SF/NY presence.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, application security, security engineering, security operations, cloud security, or infrastructure security.
• 2+ years leading security teams, programs, or major cross-functional security initiatives.
• Hands-on experience in application security and security operations; ability to review code and work with engineers on fixes.
• Experience with threat modeling, secure architecture reviews, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a pragmatic security roadmap aligned with product and business priorities.
• Lead a small security team and coordinate work across Engineering, Product, IT, Legal, and Compliance.
• Personally own and execute critical security work while building scalable processes and automation.
• Prioritize security risks based on exploitability, business impact, customer commitments, and regulatory requirements.
• Build reusable guardrails and automation to enable secure software delivery.
• Establish and mature secure SDLC practices and CI/CD security controls.
• Lead incident response, tabletop exercises, and vulnerability-management programs.
