Job summary

The Washington Nationals are seeking a Security & Identity Engineer reporting to the Director, IT Operations. This senior role leads design and operation of enterprise security architecture, emphasizes identity-first controls, Zero Trust, and secure cloud and SaaS environments.

You will manage identity platforms (Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta), enforce least privilege, oversee PAM, SIEM and incident response, and guide governance, risk, and compliance across IT Operations, Baseball R&D, and Risk

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, identity management or related roles.
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating identity platforms and security controls.
• Experience with Zero Trust, PAM, SIEM and cloud security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate enterprise security architecture.
• Administer identity platforms and enforce least-privilege access models.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events and incidents.
• Maintain governance, compliance, and security documentation and playbooks.
• Collaborate across IT Operations, Risk Management, and Analytics teams.
