Job summary

Xcel Energy in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Senior Security Governance and Controls Analyst to help develop and execute the security governance and control program. The role focuses on policies, standards, controls assurance, training, and reporting across the organization.

The position requires collaboration with security and business units, experience in governance, risk and compliance within regulated environments, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 4 years in security/IT/OT.
• Three years of experience with control testing, security standards/policy implementation, security audits, or security risk management.
• One year of working in a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) function in a highly regulated environment (e.g. Utilities) may substitute for up to 18 months experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to create documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of the governance program and procedures.
• Map security standards to regulations and frameworks and document requirements.
• Maintain enterprise security standards in the eGRC system and support downstream processes.
• Develop and implement the CIP compliance management program and procedures.
• Lead reviews of security policies and standards with owners and SMEs.
• Produce security metrics and reporting for leadership and business units.
