Google is seeking a Staff Security Engineer Manager to lead Security and Software engineering efforts across Google Cloud security initiatives. You will guide vulnerability management, threat modeling, and secure software practices while aligning with product teams worldwide.

In this role, you will drive AI/ML–driven security workflows, set strategic direction for attack surface reduction, and mentor senior engineers to deliver scalable, secure infrastructures for our customers, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 8 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
• 8 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
• 5 years of experience in managing a team of engineers or security professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage, hire, and lead teams of Security and Software engineers.
• Drive comprehensive identification and elimination of vulnerabilities across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Products and shared infrastructure.
• Guide the strategic development and use of AI/ML-driven approaches to automate workloads across vulnerability identification, triage, mitigation, and remediation.
• Maintain a high level of operational independence while collaborating closely with teams across the globe to align strategy and technical direction.
