Job summary

AWS Forward Deployed Engineering seeks a Sr. Manager of Security Engineering to build and lead a security team protecting production AI systems deployed worldwide.

You will own the security delivery model for FDE, embed security engineers with delivery pods, and ensure every engagement meets security standards without slowing velocity. You will lead senior security engineers, make critical security decisions, and drive the security roadmap across multiple concurrent programs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on security engineering experience.
• 10+ years of risk assessment and enabling organizations making security decisions.
• 10+ years of team management and building (coaching/mentoring).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years hands-on building AI/agentic systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a geographically distributed security engineering team embedded across FDE engagements.
• Define and operate the security delivery model for FDE across multiple programs.
• Own security delivery across concurrent customer programs and resolve blockers.
• Partner with delivery leadership, AWS Security, and service teams to align strategy.
• Make high-judgment security risk decisions balancing customer needs and AWS standards.
• Engage with customer CISOs/SVPs to build trust and manage escalations.
• Drive the FDE security roadmap and scalable security assets.
• Travel up to 25%.
