Job summary

Atomic HR is seeking a senior security-focused software engineer to own the architecture, controls, and alignment for SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and NIST 800-series across our platform. You will translate requirements into secure, scalable code and partner with the Trust Product Manager on governance and roadmap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, including leadership on production systems.
• Hands-on SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA experience: implemented controls and audits.
• Cloud-native production experience on AWS, with IaC and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design sign-in, access controls, and secret storage for production environments.
• Define production access workflows and approvals; implement engineering requirements with the Trust PM.
• Maintain separation of environments, tenants, workloads, and sensitive data; build auditable logs for auditors.
