Job summary

Thomson Reuters is investing in a dedicated security engineering capability and is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to secure and harden our application, cloud, and infrastructure estate spanning on-premises data centers and major clouds. You will implement security controls across patching, hardening, network isolation, identity, and secrets management, and drive automation to scale the team.

You will mentor junior engineers, partner with application and platform teams, and land changes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security, software, or DevSecOps engineering experience across application, infrastructure, and cloud.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Multi-cloud experience across two or more AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI (all four is a plus).
• Hands-on with patching, hardening, cloud configuration, network isolation, and identity and access controls.
• Experience with SAST/SCA tooling and remediating vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Secure and harden the full stack across application, infrastructure, and cloud.
• Improve patching cycles and golden-image refreshes to speed delivery.
• Implement and tune security controls across OS, containers, CI/CD, cloud config, and networks.
• Scale AI-augmented SAST/SCA tooling and prioritize fixes by risk.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical review of fixes.
• Collaborate with application and platform teams to land changes safely and report security metrics.
