Job summary

Queue is hiring a security engineering lead to own the machine, software, cloud service and update path for our pharmacy-robot platform. You will ensure identity, access, and trust across hardware, OS, and cloud, with every statement backed by system evidence.

You will work with engineers across the stack in a hybrid Bay Area path, guiding threat modeling, independent testing, incident response, and customer security reviews to keep our product safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• Own end-to-end security of a shipped product with evidence-backed results.
• Proficient in Rust, TypeScript or Python; deep skill in one and reading others.
• Strong understanding of TLS, certificates, identity, secrets management and Linux hardening.
• Experience with penetration testing and defensive judgment.
• Ability to perform threat modeling used by engineers.
• Demonstrated precise, clear technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Own the threat model and keep it current as designs change.
• Lead security reviews of designs and document outcomes.
• Manage device identity, key custody and the update path with the platform team.
• Oversee independent security testing, triage, remediation and retest.
• Identify and fix weaknesses across code, dependencies, device images and cloud.
• Lead incident response with cross-functional teams and post-incident improvements.
• Support customer security reviews with evidence-backed statements.
