Job summary

Oshi Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own the security of our remote, cloud-native healthcare platform. You will establish security architecture, strengthen identity and secrets management, and integrate security into engineering and AI workflows from day one.

You will lead non-human identity management, secure AWS controls, and enforce robust security tooling while partnering with a small cross-functional team to manage risk and protect PHI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years in security engineering with cloud security (AWS).
• Hands-on with SAST/DAST and GitHub Advanced Security.
• Strong IAM including Okta, OAuth/OIDC, MFA.
• Experience securing AI/LLM and agentic systems.
• Able to explain tradeoffs to engineers and executives.
• Familiarity with HIPAA Security Rule, SOC 2, and NIST CSF.
• Scripting in Python and shell.

Responsibilities

• Own application and product security, including threat modeling and secure design reviews.
• Design and own security architecture for agentic software development lifecycle.
• Build/manage non-human identity and secrets at scale across SaaS and AWS.
• Secure AWS environment end-to-end: IAM, networking, logging, encryption.
• Enforce and tune security tooling (CodeQL, secret scanning, review gates).
• Review AI/third-party vendor integrations touching PHI for data flows & DLP needs.
• Own vulnerability management and pen-testing relationships; drive issues to closure.
• Support HIPAA Security Rule safeguards and build auto-detection/response capabilities.
