Job summary

University of Phoenix is seeking a Senior Security Engineer-Incident Response, Forensics and Security Operations to work closely with Information Technology, internal audit and compliance to strengthen the University's information security program.

You will lead implementation of security tools, IAM and cloud solutions, oversee incident response, and help mature security governance across Azure, AWS, and SaaS platforms while supporting after-hours needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related area.
• 10+ years of progressive information security experience with 6+ years hands-on.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and configuration of security tools across Azure, AWS, private cloud and SaaS apps.
• Define and enforce information security standards and compliance for systems and IAM.
• Oversee incident response activities and remediation efforts enterprise-wide.
• Update security policies aligning with cloud and IAM best practices.
• Manage IAM/Cloud deployments, access provisioning and RBAC oversight.
• Maintain knowledge of IAM, encryption, MFA, SSO, and related controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain runbooks for cloud/IAM workflows.
• Provide after-hours support as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
