Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a senior cyber security incident response expert to lead investigations across endpoints and cloud platforms, driving the full lifecycle of incident response. You will develop plans, create thorough reports, and advance threat detection capabilities within a global information security program.

The role requires advanced cloud security expertise, IR experience, and the ability to synthesize intelligence to protect critical assets and services.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cloud-agnostic infrastructure security.
• Experience conducting forensics and incident response investigations.
• Ability to analyze security events for anomalies.
• Develop and implement security improvement programs.
• Familiarity with threat reporting and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of incident response plans for investigations.
• Conduct cyber forensics on endpoints and cloud platforms, leading full IR lifecycle.
• Prepare comprehensive incident reports and intelligence to detect high-confidence threats.
• Analyze/validate security control requirements, tune mitigation rules, assist with troubleshooting.
• Review tools and processes to strengthen and optimize current security capabilities.
