Job summary

AxisCare is hiring a Senior Security Engineer to own security and compliance across our SaaS platform. This fully remote role partners with product engineering to strengthen security posture, shape SOC 2 Type II, and drive HITRUST readiness while hardening AWS, Docker pipelines, and the PHP/React codebase.

You will model threats, guide AI security work, instrument detection and response, and train developers on secure practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security for a SaaS product company.
• Hands-on AWS security experience (IAM, VPC, GuardDuty).
• Experience with SOC 2 Type II and HITRUST considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own AxisCare's security program and drive improvements with engineering teams.
• Lead SOC 2 Type II compliance activities, controls, and audits.
• Model threats and elevate security across AWS, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve security scanning and reduce false positives.
• Address AI security risks and implement guardrails for AI-enabled workflows.
• Develop detection and response capabilities including logging and incident playbooks.
